Robert Kraft's lawyer calls video in prostitution case "basically pornography" today

Lawyers for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft appeared in court in Palm Beach County, Florida on Friday, requesting a protective order to ensure that the public does not see video that police say shows Kraft receiving sexual services that he paid for.

The latest development in the case has occurred today, as his legal team is now in court trying to make sure the video of Kraft in the spa doesn't become public, according to TMZ.

Owner Robert Kraft celebrates during the New England Patriots Victory Parade on February 5. "There's no interest in actually seeing the video unless you have a prurient interest in seeing the video".

But an assistant state attorney at a hearing Friday conceded that while they initially suspected alleged prostitution at the spa was connected to trafficking, the evidence didn't bear that out. Police say those cameras captured Kraft twice paying to have sex with spa employees in January.

Kraft is one of dozens of men charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution as part of a months-long investigation into day spas across Jupiter and the Treasure Coast. Kraft was one of about 300 male customers charged in a multicounty investigation that also resulted in 10 massage parlors being closed and their owners charged with felony prostitution.

Kraft's attorneys say the videos are an illegal invasion of privacy and are not necessary to be released publicly because the affidavits describe the acts that took place.

"We've vetted this case, we've done our due diligence, there is no human trafficking that arises out of this investigation".

They are seeking a motion to suppress the videos, arguing they also would mar chances for a fair trial.

Dana McElroy, an attorney representing the media outlets, argued that sealing the video would violate the state's public records law.
