Lori Loughlin Is "Freaking Out" After Realising She'll Likely Do Jail Time

Lori Loughlin Why Lori Loughlin Rejected Plea Deal Before Second Indictment

Shortly after Loughlin was ousted, When Calls the Heart producer Brian Bird issued a lengthy statement informing fans that the show had not been canceled, and would return with new episodes after a "retooling" hiatus.

The show had been in limbo since mid-March, when Hallmark Channel first announced that it was cutting all ties with star Lori Loughlin and then pulled the series off the air for a "retooling" in the wake of the college admissions scandal.

The Fuller House star may be finally starting to realize the seriousness of the charges she's facing in connection to the massive college admissions bribery scheme, but she initially didn't think it was a big deal.

"It's just taking some time for it to sink in that what she was allegedly doing could be considered illegal", a source close to Loughlin, 54, told People magazine.

At the time, the actress and her fashion designer hubby were said to have believed prosecutors were "bluffing" when they said the two could face serious jail time over the charges.

"She is very concerned about what a guilty plea would do to her daughters, who may not have grasped everything that was going on", the source said.

'Your care and concern means the world to us, and the best way we can thank you is to encourage you the way you encourage us because...

According to a source, the public's perception of the scam is 'nothing compared to what her daughters think of her. "They are scared and they don't know what's coming next. It wasn't until she was faced with [the] additional [charge] that she saw the true ramifications".

The couple is facing 40 years in prison and more than $1 million in fines for allegedly paying $500,000 to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as fake crew recruits.

Huffman has already agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest service services mail fraud, but Loughlin, who faces the same charges, is said to be apprehensive to follow suit.

Lady Felicity Huffman has made her initial appearance in the federal court in a faculty admissions stern scandal that was nationwide of Boston.

Last week, Loughlin and husband Mossimo Gianulli didn't take a plea deal and haven't publicly issued a statement about the case.

Loughlin, Giannulli and several other indicted parents were slapped with a new money laundering charge earlier this week that also sees a potential 20 years of prison time.

It is not clear if Loughlin's daughters were aware of their parents' alleged meddling.

Huffman said she'd take the consequences and on Monday took accountability for her actions.

"The" Desperate Housewives" star is accused of spending $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation to rig her daughter's SAT score.
