Harry made godfather to Zara’s daughter as he and Meghan attend christening

Royal fashion faux pas! Fashion mishaps from Meghan Markle to Kate Middleton Queen 'rejected' Meghan and Harry's bid to break free from Buckingham Palace
Charles Bowen | 18 March, 2019, 18:58

Last month, Meghan flew to NY to celebrate the impending arrival with her A-lister pals including Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, Gayle King and Abigail Spencer.

It was announced on Friday that Harry and Meghan's new household - which will include Hillary Clinton's former campaign advisor - will be based out of Buckingham Palace and will directly report to the Queen's communication secretary. That move was first announced last week, when the royal family shared a statement about the Queen's decision "to create a new household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May a year ago".

Now, it's emerged Harry and Meghan wanted to take the separation even further by seeking total freedom but Her Majesty and Prince Charles have said "no".

A source told the paper, "They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told "no". "The feeling is that it's good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can't just go off and do their own thing".

"The Queen has given permission for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to base their Household Office at Buckingham Palace. The Household, which will be created with the support of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring", the statement read.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will now fall under Buckingham Palace once the move and hiring of the staff are complete. And we have to say, fromthe Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry to Duchess Kate and Prince William, they all style it out perfectly.

The Duke and Duchess supposedly wanted to establish a "global philanthropy brand" on their own.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are keeping close ahead of the birth of their first child!

It comes amid confirmation from the palace last week that the household of Prince Harry and Meghan would officially separate from that of Prince William and Kate's.
