It is expected to announce its long-awaited Apple News subscription service. The invite includes a video that shows the Apple logo below the spotlight with a caption "Its show time".

Some reports said actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and "Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams would join Apple at the event.

There's no word on how this new entertainment platform will work but it could be similar to services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video with users paying a monthly fee to gain access to content on demand.

Therefore, it's no surprise that the March event is looking increasingly likely to be a launch party for Apple's streaming service. The firm is also reportedly launching its own tv and movie streaming service, and might be offering a comprehensive package that rolls all three into one.

"We will participate in the original content world", Mr Cook said. Apple is focusing more on its Services business with this event so it is unlikely that we will see the company make any hardware announcements on stage. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple has invested over a billion dollars to produce shows for its video-streaming services. The rumours mentioned that the company might focus on services. "Now we're going to finally figure out what the hell Apple's doing".

So it's hardly a surprise that renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is reporting on rumours the company is aiming to have an AR headset ready for market in 2020. Apple has also refreshed its lineup previously during its events held in spring.
