In just a few weeks, the battle royale shooter has topped 50 million players, announced in a thank you video from Respawn Entertainment. It is worth noting that it has achieved more than 50 million players and it's not even on mobile or Nintendo Switch yet.

A report last month from industry tracker SuperData found that Fortnite's revenue fell 48 percent month-over-month in January, giving a boost to EA's shares.

Is "Fortnite" stealing respawn beacons from "Apex Legends?"

After some early gains, EA shares were around break-even in NY trading. The Apex Legends player community on Reddit have voiced their opinion about this, but Respawn has yet to address it. If you do get killed, a squad member can retrieve a token of your body and sent it for revival at a randomly placed beacon on the map. To celebrate, the Apex Legends team sent out a one minute plus video.

Not only that, but given that the developer apparently has pretty big post-launch plans for Apex Legends, it's clear that they're fully committed to the road ahead.

Others believe that X Marks the spot will be a set of challenges to accomplish within a random time span. As the game is available free on all platforms (Play Station 4, Xbox One and PC), you can simply download and enjoy it using origin without paying any money.

The Mozambique is one of the most maligned guns in the game, so perhaps Respawn's acknowledgement of its status as a meme weapon means it might be getting some buffs soon?

The "Texture Streaming Budget" setting in Apex Legends determines how the textures are loaded into the game.
