The superstar went back on Twitter to later clarify her tweets after one social media user accused her of "shading" Cardi B.

Grande and Miller dated for two years before he died of an accidental overdose in September.

Making it clear that she had no beef with Grammys victor Cardi, Ariana is claimed to have also tweeted and deleted: 'nothing to do w [Cardi]. good for her. i promise. i'm sorry'. "Trash", she continued, and "literal bulls-".

"I've kept my mouth shut, but now you're lying about me", she tweeted. She is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for "God is a Woman".

This is Grande's first Grammy.

Sadly for the rapper, who died past year, Cardi B beat him for her album Invasion of Privacy.

The 'thank u, next' singer took to Twitter to write "trash", followed by "bullsh*t", after the award was announced.

The Bronx rapper sported a white floor-length gown which sat off the shoulders.

Many fans noticed Grande's reaction before she deleted the tweets and most assumed that her harsh words were directed towards Miller's loss, rather than Cardi's win.

In a not so typical speech, she joked her nerves were so bad "maybe I need to start smoking w**d".

Cardi also thanked acts like Chance the Rapper, SZA, and Migos for appearing on the project and contributing to its success: "I want to thank all the artists that took their time and their verses for my album", she said.

It has ben a whirlwind year for the rapper who released her debut album in April last year.
