Friday was a big day for Ariana Grande fans. However, Variety reported the singer felt "insulted" after producers refused to let her perform certain songs.

"Ariana Grande comparing herself to ART is laughable at best".

At 41 minutes, Thank U, Next doesn't shilly-shally with inapt guest vocalists, but a few tunes in the middle ("Bad Idea", "In My Head") are title concepts in search of commensurate musical girth.

We wouldn't expect anything less from Grande - her last album literally had a song called Pete Davidson. It also includes Imagine, a song believed to be inspired by the death of Mac Miller, Grande's ex-boyfriend who died in September past year.

Grammys boss Ken Ehrlich claimed that Ariana was struggling to put a performance together for the show, which takes place on Sunday. I hope the show's exactly what you want it to be and more.

Grande fired back on Twitter on Thursday, saying "I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me".

Arriving less than a year after its predecessor, Sweetener, the set has been dominating discussion on social media since its release. However, the 'Thank U, Next!' singer has a great 2019 lined up for her fans in terms of her music.

Ehrlich told The Associated Press that Grande isn't performing at the Grammys and that the Recording Academy wanted her to perform after having "conversations over the past month or so". Just two days before the Grammys, Ariana is all set to release her brand new single from the "Thank U, Next" album. The album dropped at midnight and fans lit up Twitter with their reactions.

The song, which samples 'N Sync's It Makes Me Ill, focuses on an infatuation with someone who is already in a relationship.

With streaming providing the masses with "instant" access to the entire album at once, songs are aging at a far faster rate.

This aspect of the video has caused some controversy. But toward the very end of the video, the three of them are in a pool and she pivots from her suggested interest in the man to his girlfriend. Other artists purportedly didn't have the same stipulation.
