After Arjuna Ranatunga, Sri Lankan veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been accused of sexual harassment in India, in the wake of #MeToo movement in the country.

Taking to Twitter, Chinmayi Sripaada shared a post about an incident where the cricketer sexually harassed a woman in his hotel room at Mumbai a few years back during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Even though Chinmayi has claimed the cricketer to be Lasith Malinga, the woman, who is the alleged victim of the harassment, has not named anyone. The cricketer invited her to his room saying that her friend was there.

Malinga made his debut for Sri Lanka back in 2004, and was recalled to the ODI set-up for the Asia Cup that concluded in the United Arab Emirates recently, where he played two games for his side. The woman was looking for her friend in Mumbai. I go in and she's not.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Indian flight attendant took to Facebook and accused Sri Lankan cricket icon Arjuna Ranatunga for sexually harassing her by the poolside of the hotel during one of his visits to India.

In the post the woman wrote,"My star struck colleague spotted Indian and Sri Lankan cricketers in the elevator of Hotel Juhu Centaur, Mumbai and chose to meet them in their room for autographs".

"My starstruck colleague spotted Indian and Sri Lankan cricketers in the elevator of Hotel Juhu Centaur, Mumbai and chose to meet them in their room for autographs". In no position to leave the room, she was finally saved when the hotel staff came in to replenish the bar. The woman later ran to the hotel reception and complained about Ranatunga's actions but the staff told her, "It is your private matter". I made a decision to chaperone her, fearing for her safety, we were offered drinks (perhaps laced) I declined and stuck to my bottle of water I'd brought along. She further said that she was able to escape him and ran to the hotel reception but found none to help her.
