Selena Gomez Has 'Emotional Breakdown' and Now Receiving Mental Health Treatment Selena Gomez 'receiving mental health treatment after suffering emotional breakdown'

Multiple sources tell TMZ, the 26-year-old singer was at her Studio City, CA home the last week of September when the first emergency hit. But that doesn't mean there's a correlation between Selena's current health and Justin, especially after we heard that Selena was "emotional but happy" for her ex's marriage!

Selena Gomez was trying to distance herself from the negativity of social media prior to her reported hospitalization for an emotional breakdown.

According to TMZ Selena flew into a "downward spiral" after seeking medical care for an "alarmingly low" white blood cell count twice in the last two weeks. The outlet reports that Gomez received medical attention at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles after her white blood cell count became increasingly low. Selena tried ripping the IV's out of her arm. Sources close to the website also revealed that the singer wished to leave after she was admitted.

The Heart Wants What It Wants hitmaker announced on September 24 that she was taking a break from social media.

The website claims she is now being treated with dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) at an East Coast psychiatric facility.

Late last month, Gomez hosted an Instagram Live, telling her followers and fans that she'd been facing depression for the last five years.

"Kindness and encouragement only for a bit!"

She announced the news on social media in September 2017, writing of Raisa on Instagram, "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my lovely friend Francia Raisa". Just remember - negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.
