Michael Buble has spoken about his withdrawal from social media and his plans to retire from the music business in his 'last interview'.

The Haven't Met You Yet hitmaker has chose to step back from the spotlight following the release of his latest album Love after a tough few years when his son was diagnosed with cancer.

In the interview, he said, "I don't have the stomach for it any more".

He gave what he called his "last interview" with the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine. "The celebrity narcissism", he said. I've made the flawless record and now I can leave at the very top'. He says he was always anxious about ticket sales before Noah was diagnosed and now he's "embarrassed by [his] ego".

"And I decided I'd never read my name again in print, never read a review, and I never have".

"It's been such a hard exercise".

"But my whole being's changed".

"I don't even know how I was breathing", he said, adding that Noah's time in hospital changed his mindset and priorities. "And I've never lost control of my emotions in public".

The Canadian singer, 43, stepped away from his work in 2016 after Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Recalling Noah's diagnosis, Michael made the heart-wrenching admission: 'You just want to die.

The singer said he views fame differently now and he became "embarrassed" by his ego.

'My wife was the same and even though I was the stronger of the two of us, I wasn't strong.

He continued: "It wasn't as straightforward as, "My son's recovered, I should make an album".

"There are three reasons I wanted to do this album: One, because I felt a debt of gratitude, deeper than I can explain, to the millions of people all over the world who prayed for us and showed us compassion".

"I missed the guys in my band, so I said to them, "Come over to the house, let's drink, order pizza, play video games and jam".

Bublé said: "When this bad news came in I realised I wasn't having fun in the music business". It still sucks. What we went through was the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent, and as maybe a human being.
