Samsung is scheduled to unveil its next-generation Galaxy A9 family of smartphones tomorrow, and one of the headlining features of the device will be its quad-camera setup on the back. In all started with the launch of Huawei P20 Pro in March, which featured three cameras on the back and four in total.

Ahead of the official announcement in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon, reliable leakster Evan Blass has shared an official image of the handset.

Though Samsung has not officially confirmed which phone it will announce, the Galaxy A9 is the subject of a whole barrage of recent rumours. The secondary sensor with be a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture and 2x optical zoom.

According to details accompanying the image, the first lens will consist of an ultra wide camera with an 8MP resolution, f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. A 24MP f/1.7 camera follows and last comes a 5MP f/2. depth camera.

The picture also shows the phone will come with a squircle-shaped fingerprint scanner which sits in the middle.

Having so much flexibility with those different cameras could prove to be incredibly useful, but if not handled properly, we could be looking at another Samsung experiment gone wrong. The volume rocker is on the right but we can't tell if there is another button below it.
