Remember the disaster that was the Fyre Festival? The fest's organizer and promoter Billy McFarland has been sentenced to six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to fraud back in March.

McFarland and co-promoter Ja Rule made a decision to scrap the event, which resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of lawsuits, against both Billy McFarland, Ja Rule, and The Fyre Festival.

McFarland admitted defrauding investors of $26 million in the 2017 music festival and of more than $100,000 in a fraudulent ticket-selling scheme after his arrest in the festival scam.

A USA federal judge found 26-year-old McFarland guilty for selling phoney tickets and for misleading investors, The New York Times reported. Additionally, prosecutors determined McFarland did not feel remorse.
