The Thor star posted an Instagram video of himself and a friend picking up USA musician Scott Hildebrand in Brisbane, who had just arrived from Mexico.

NEW YORK, NY - JANUARY 16: Actor Chris Hemsworth attends the "12 Strong" World Premiere at Jazz at Lincoln Center on January 16, 2018 in New York City.

After picking him up in their vehicle, Hemsworth revealed to Hildebrand that they'd be going to Byron by chopper and asked he could: "Chip in for the gas, alright?"

Ha... Ha... Ha, jesus, don't try this at home, kids.

While driving out of the global terminal, Hemsworth and Zocchi - his close friend and the man we have to thank for Hemsworth's physique - chose to pick up a random hitchhiker.

He's suitably chuffed at the prospect and can't believe his luck, as he carries his acoustic guitar right into the cabin.

Admitting that he "didn't know who they were", Hildebrand said that he felt "kind of unsure about the whole situation" because the pair were filming the encounter.

"Picked up a hitchhiker, wasn't a serial killer which we were stoked about and just happened to be a kick ass musician Scott Hildebrand", he wrote.
