Troyer, best known for his role as Mini-Me in two of the "Austin Powers" comedy films, died earlier this year at the age of 49.

Troyer suffered from alcohol addiction for several years leading up to his death this past April. The cause of death listed in the official report was a "sequelae of alcohol intoxication", otherwise known as lethal alcohol abuse.

When Verne Troyer died unexpectedly in April, there was speculation it was a suicide - and now the L.A. coroner's report confirms it.

Troyer's representatives had said last April he'd been struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide.

He also played banker-goblin Griphook in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and appeared in dozens of TV shows and videos. However, he was candid about battling alcohol addiction.

The actor's death was announced to fans on April 21 with a post on his official Instagram account. A statement shared by his family made references to the actor's "battles" as well as depression and suicide, but did not indicate a cause of death.

'Over the years he's struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much'. "And always know, it's never too late to reach out to someone for help", the post said.

Troyer's social media posts during this time, however, painted an entirely different picture of the actor.

In an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in May, Myers described Troyer as "a great physical comedian". In case of an emergency, please call 911 for immediate help.

He became a star playing Mini-Me to Myers' Dr.

When Troyer died, his family released a statement calling him "an extremely caring individual" who "wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh".
