Grammy-winning singer P!nk was on tour in Australia when her maternal instincts prompted her to comfort a distraught fan.

"Her name's Leah, she's 14, she lost her mom last month", Pink reads to the packed crowd at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. I would LOVE a hug ...

"You're going to be OK", she says on the video after hugging the 14-year-old, to which Leah responds, "thank you". After the exchange, P!nk took a selfie with the fan, who was later identified as Leah Murphy from Queensland, and autographed her arm.

"We waved the signs as often as we could whenever Pink looked our way and eventually she squinted and said, 'What is that over there?'" "She's really sweet", Leah told Yahoo. Everything's going to be OK.' She was really nice. She bought the tickets to Pink's Sydney show and was going to go with a friend, but when she died last month, Leah chose to go in her place because she had bonded with her mother over Pink's music. Tragically, her mom, Debbie, passed away in June, leaving Leah to attend the concert without her.

As soon as Pink read the sign, she seemed emotionally touched by the sentiment and began to come down off the stage to find the fan. It didn't work out, but Leah still managed to meet her idol.

Leah told The Courier-Mail that it was "a dream come true". "We used to sing [her songs] always together and dance around the house", Murphy recalls.

She said: "It was so insane, I was just like chilling in the crowd and then I hear her say my name".

While they stood in the crowd, Donkin said the audience helped grab Pink's attention. "She hasn't stopped smiling, skipping, singing [and] dancing".
