Earlier this week, former Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin pretty much blasted his entire time with the franchise, especially Cam Newton and questioned his intelligence at the QB position.

Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin did not sort out their disagreement on Thursday. Newton followed Benjamin, but nothing positive seemed to come from their continued dialogue. That meeting was obviously going to be a little awkward after The Athletic published comments from Benjamin slamming his fit with the Panthers and Newton's football IQ.

Benjamin played with Newton for three and a half seasons in Carolina, though one of those was spent on the sidelines due to an ACL tear.

"I just think Carolina was bad for me", Benjamin told The Athletic. I don't know, man ...

"If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?"

Newton tries to shake Kelvin's hand. but Benjamin turns it down.

"I mean, I felt like I would've been even more successful if ..."

"I ain't gonna go back and forth with him, I'm just gonna work", Newton said. When Benjamin left Newton hanging, Newton asked for privacy and had an apparent argument with his former teammate.

Benjamin eventually requested a trade and landed in Buffalo in the middle of last season for draft picks.
