Who do you think should be Ronaldo's repalcement at Real Madrid?

On Thursday, Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte reported that Madrid will be sending their chief transfer negotiator to Santos, Brazil, this week to meet with Neymar's father and inquire about a possible move to the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid have today issued a statement addressing the rumours linking Neymar with a move to the club, in which they state that they have no intention of signing the player.

Real Madrid are being strongly linked with an approach for the attacker - especially after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo - but according to AS, PSG will do everything that they can to avoid a sale. To play the first match as if nothing had happened is hard.

Ronaldo sympathised with the Paris Saint-German star, suggesting his influence was curbed by the fractured metatarsal which ended his club season in February.

"In France, there is no buyout clause, and PSG spent more than 200 million euros for the former Barcelona player just a year ago".

"Real Madrid has not made any kind of offer to PSG or the player".

"With this in mind and eager to hold on the 26-year-old, PSG have initiated talks with his representatives and want to improve his contract terms", the site claims; adding, "PSG will pay Neymar the same as Messi".

"If Madrid's plan fails, plan B is Neymar's teammate Kylian Mbappé, who is seven years younger and whose price would be lower", the site continues.

"We all expected more from him because he's the star of the team".
