George Clooney, known actor and husband of human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, had a bit of a get-off when a Mercedes-Benz struck the scooter he was riding on the morning of July 9, 2018. The two reportedly left together in a private vehicle after he was given the clear. He is recovering at home and will be fine, ' one rep told E!

Clooney did not sustain life-threatening injuries and was discharged from the hospital the same day, leaving with wife Amal.

Clooney is staying on the Italian island while he films a new TV series, "Catch 22", based on the classic 1961 novel by Joseph Heller.

This is not the first time George has had a scary run-in on a motorbike - back in 2007, he and then-girlfriend, Sarah Larson, were involved in an even scarier crash in Weehawken, New Jersey.

Local Italian news outlets confirmed that the 57-year-old Academy Award-winning actor was rushed to the hospital after falling off of his scooter on the state road to Costa Corallina, in the province of Olbia. According to China Daily, in 2007, Clooney and an ex-girlfriend (Sarah Larson) were injured when their motorcycle collided with a auto in Weehawken, New Jersey.

The John Paul II hospital in Olbia said the actor was released on Tuesday.

George was doing 60 miles per hour when a auto suddenly pulled in front of him.
