Mayweather has previously anointed Crawford as his successor, rating him as the world's top pound-for-pound fighter and saying he reminded him of himself when he was younger - but the 30-year-old from Nebraska has a long way to go to match his public profile.

"I am ready for this moment".

He doesn't look that great, ' " Horn said. The gracious Horn initiated a brief handshake with his challenger.

Terence Crawford & Jeff Horn Open Workout From Las Vegas / Check out more boxing news and features at The Sweet Science. Some people say Terence Crawford is pound-for-pound, some say Lomachenko is pound-for-pound, some say Gennady Golovkin (the choice of The Ring magazine) is pound-for-pound.

Both fighters are staying at the MGM Grand Casino, where the fight takes place, and Crawford and McIntyre showed a clean pair of heels when they came face to face with members of the Horn camp on Tuesday.

"I'd be petrified to fight Glenn to be honest", Horn said. So he's pound-for-pound for a reason and people don't think I'm that good, so they think that he's gonna win the fight.

When Crawford was told that Rushton was adamant that "Jeff doesn't headbutt" Crawford said: "Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the tactics that he uses in the ring, but that's his word on how his fighter fights in the ring".

"I'm disappointed but at the end of the day we're getting behind Jeff, " she said.

"He's viewing me as a small welterweight but I'm prepared for whatever he brings". He might get hurt. "Very known in Australia and everything and what he's done by beating Manny Pacquiao, but he still has a lot to prove". The judges will be watching Terence Crawford and watching me as well. "But once they get in with me, they're surprised at my strength and the angles I come off". It is a surprise now that what I've done with Pacquiao that I'm still that far off.

Rushton is a big believer in Wolff's law - that bones grow stronger under heavy loads - and he says Horn's heavy fists, with just the thin horse hair padding over the knuckles, will be dynamite on Sunday.

In his last major training session, Horn showed some of the slick moves he has developed to frustrate and trap Crawford. Pressure breaks pipes, " he said.

Horn is unbeaten in 19 fights and Crawford unbeaten in 32.

"I just try to get the victory".

"Jeff just happens to be the first victim", he said.

"I have the chance to give these kids hope, " he said. But, and I'm not saying this in a mocking way, Crawford is a much more talented fighter and also technically the better fighter.

Horn's trainer Glenn Rushton pointed out that while Horn had fewer fights than Crawford and did not have the "silky" style of the American he had made the quarter-finals of the 2012 Olympics while Crawford had lost in the US Olympic trials, despite his vaunted reputation.

Jeff Horn v Terence Crawford Pay Per View will be broadcast on Foxtel Channel 507.
