President Trump lashed out at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the country's trade relationship with the U.S. Sunday accusing Canada of "charging massive Tariffs" to U.S. businesses.
Navarro was referring to the prime minister's announcing after the Group of Seven meeting Saturday that Canada will "not be pushed around" by the US with its decision to slap tariffs on some imports from Canada and other countries.
Trump's comments came after he accused Trudeau of tough talk to the press after he left the meetings, while being "mild and meek" with the president face to face.

Trump was travelling from North America to Asia when he withdrew from a Group of Seven economic statement and insulted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as "dishonest" and "weak".
"Canadians are polite and reasonable but we will also not be pushed around", he said.
Other Trump advisers also attacked Trudeau in appearances on Sunday.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the United States on Sunday that USA tariffs on imported steel and aluminum would not go unchallenged.
French President Emmanuel Macron said worldwide co-operation could not be "dictated by fits of anger and throwaway remarks".
Kudlow said that Trudeau's statements are "amateurish" and "sophomoric" only "for domestic consumption", and that it was Trudeau's remarks that had prompted Trump to pull out of the joint communique.
"We spent two days producing a statement and commitments", the statement said. She also praised the joint statement itself as a "laboriously negotiated" document.
Trudeau didn't respond to questions about Mr. Trump when the prime minister arrived at a Quebec City hotel Sunday for meetings with other world leaders, though Freeland later told reporters that "we don't think that's a useful or productive way to do business". He also said the G7 countries had "again" failed to provide any evidence that Russian Federation was behind the poisoning of a former double agent and his daughter in Britain in March. "We commit to modernise the WTO to make it more fair as soon as possible". He said the Trump administration's use of a national security provision to impose the tariffs was "kind of insulting", given that Canadians have fought side by side with Americans in foreign lands.
There is no obvious precedent for such a coordinated and acerbic series of attacks by White House advisers on a stalwart US ally.
Another image of the same gathering, however, suggested a more relaxed interaction, with Merkel smiling and Trump making eye contact. Canada had previously been given a temporary exemption from the steel and aluminum tariffs, but Trump announced at the end of May that its exemption would end.
