Marko Arnautovic 'happy' at West Ham amid Man Utd transfer links

West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic has dismissed rumours linking him with a big-money move to Manchester United.

Mourinho has worked with Arnautovic in the past when the pair was at Inter Milan but the Austrian was shipped off to the Bundesliga after failing to make a mark in the Serie A.

Mourinho wants Arnautovic at Old Trafford to offer some backup to Romelu Lukaku and add directness to an attack that often looked one-dimensional on many occasions last term.

Arnautovic has proved his Premier League pedigree during spells with Stoke and West Ham, with the 29-year-old having been able to catch the eye in struggling sides.

He told Sky Sports: 'I am happy with my job. "I've never heard anything", Arnautovic is quoted as saying.

"Even three weeks ago I haven't heard anything".

The speculation linking Manchester United with a move for Arnautovic heightened after Mourinho was pictured watching him in action during Austria's friendly against Russian Federation last week.

"That's why I can not say anything about it".

For all the good work he did with West Ham last season, we simply can not be bullied into paying the amount West Ham want for a player that has had his issues in the past.

"I have a contract at West ham - that's all we have to talk about".

He said: "It's nice to hear, I haven't heard anything from my brother, my agent". His club, West Ham have placed the monstrous tag on him in a bid to ward off United's interest in the player to attempt to keep the player in London, as per Daily Mirror.
