After apparent interest from both AC Milan and Arsenal, it now appears as though the Belgian will pledge his future to Old Trafford. The Belgium global - now on duty at the World Cup - has accepted a revised two-year deal with the English Premier League club, bringing an end to months of uncertainty for both the player and his manager, Jose Mourinho.

Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Fellaini is likely to leave Manchester United this summer after five mixed seasons at Old Trafford.

The Belgian midfielder, who is now away on global duty with Belgium at the World Cup, literally has just days remaining as a Manchester United player, with his current contract set to expire on Saturday. In a candid interview a few months back, he had even blamed the club for failing to offer him a new contract when the time was right and mentioned that he held all the "power" in the negotiations then.

The fact that he has been able to dictate terms to the club because he will shortly be a free agent has not gone down well among his critics.

The way United have spent quite literally all season trying to convince Fellaini - who only managed four starts in seven months - to stay at the club at the expense of signing a younger, more mobile midfielder goes beyond the realms of mere insanity.

'The entire staff is doing everything they can to make me stay, ' he said.

Fellaini had said: "I know where I'm going to play next year and that does not affect my performance at the World Cup".

Breakthrough for Manchester United!

'Afterwards I became important for the team. And a good player costs at least 50m Euros.
