A man was found unresponsive Friday at the festival campsite in his auto.

News outlets report Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves confirmed a body was found Friday morning at a festival campground. A spokesperson for the Coffee County Sheriff's Office said law enforcement responded to a medical call at the venue at around 10:30 a.m. Festival-goers contacted the medical team in the Plaza 6 camping area and asked them to assist the man. The Coffee County Sheriff's Department identified the man, who was found dead inside a vehicle with the engine running, as 32-year-old Michael Craddock of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

The annual Bonnaroo music festival began on Thursday.

It is the only fatality so far at the festival, authorities said.

The tragedy marks the first death at the festival since 2015. Festival organizers has released a statement about the incident which reads: "The safety of our patrons is our highest priority, and our sympathies go out to his family and friends".
