WWE Superstar and 16-World Heavy Weight Champion John Cena has teamed up with action star Jackie Chan for an untitled action film Project X. The 41-year-old star has apparently replaced Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone in the film which had a previous working title Ex-Baghdad.

The movie focuses on a Chinese-operated oil refinery that is attacked by terrorists in the Middle East. Chan plays a private security contractor tasked with rescuing a group of oil workers.

In case you've been living under a rock, Cena is quickly becoming a hot commodity in entertainment.

Project X has no expected release date yet but it is slated to be directed by Scott Waugh who also directed "Need For Speed" and was written by Arash Amel who penned "The Titan". Cena will be taking Stallone's place. The Marine had been fooled into thinking he was working to seize illegally gotten Chinese assets before he learns he was had and partners up with the Snow Leopard Commando.

The movie is being produced by Chan, along with Joe Tam, Esmond Ren and Hans Canosa.

He has upcoming roles in the Transformers' spinoff Bumblebee and The Jason Directive, and previously appeared in movies like Trainwreck, Daddy's Home and Daddy's Home 2, among others.

It will be interesting to see whether the innovative Chan asks Cena to display some of the moves and stunts he's learned in a WWE ring.
