Veteran actress Heather Locklear was taken into custody at her California home just before midnight on Sunday evening, and she was subsequently booked for two counts of battery on a police offer and emergency personnel. She was held on $20,000 bail and is scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday.

Locklear was arrested on June 24 at 11:30 p.m. and booked into jail on June 25 at 2:01 a.m.

Police then called for an ambulance to take Locklear to the hospital, and as the actress was being placed onto a gurney, she kicked an EMT in the chest, police said.

Locklear checked into a rehabilitation facility in the wake of that arrest, during which she was allegedly intoxicated. At the time, sources close to her said that she was "spiraling out of control". Officers responded to a 911 call about a residential disturbance, and when they arrived, things went haywire. She allegedly punched one of the officers who was trying to keep her apart from family members at the scene. She was banned from owning a gun following her February arrest.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Earlier this month, Heather was hospitalised after she threatened to shoot herself.
