Warner Bros. did not specify how Steve Trevor (who seemingly died in the first film set in World War I) is returning. "Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor!", Jenkins wrote along with the photo above.

The first stills from Warner Bros.'s Wonder Woman 1984 - the sequel to 2017's hit Wonder Woman film - have been released, along with new information and confirmation of previously-reported items.

Images like these are, of course, meant to set internet chatter ablaze, and we can only speculate as to how Steve Trevor's made a return and how he's landed in the 1980s.

Judging by the people's clothes, Trevor is definitely in the 1980s... so this isn't a flashback. In addition to Gadot and Pine, the sequel's cast includes Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig in the role of the super-villain The Cheetah.

Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Walter Hamada, and Geoff Johns are executive producers. Oscar-nominated editor Ricahrd Pearson (United 93) is editing the film. Warner Bros also announced Wednesday that filming will take place in Washington, D.C.; Alexandria, Virginia; and in the U.K., Spain, and the Canary Islands.

Check out the exciting first Wonder Woman 2 images below. Wonder Woman 2 will be released November 1, 2019.
