Conor McGregor is in talks to do community service ahead of his next court date in New York, The Star can exclusively reveal.

"I regret my actions that led me here today", McGregor said outside King's County Supreme Court in Brooklyn on Thursday after his short appearance before a judge.

The ex-champion of UFC in two categories Irishman Conor McGregor (21-3) arrived in the United States, where he was ordered to appear at a court session on the case about the attack on a bus in Brooklyn a few days before UFC 223 in April of this year.

Ireland's first UFC belt holder's legal team are now working on a plea deal with the Brooklyn District Attorney and he's due back in court on July 26.

McGregor was released on $50,000 bail following his arrest over the frenzied attack on a bus of rival fighters that injured two athletes. "I understand the seriousness of this matter, and I'm hopeful it gets resolved soon".

McGregor's lawyers stated that they are still working on a deal so they could plead guilty in return for a lighter penalty from the prosecution, reported news.com.au.

Lobov said that Nurmagomedov wasn't a real champion because he had already pulled out of fights six times and McGregor has never pulled out of a fight, regardless of his injuries.

McGregor is accused of throwing something through the window of the bus, according to an NYPD source with knowledge of the event.

White told TMZ Sports that he and McGregor will finally meet next week after the latter failed to show up in the previously scheduled meetings. The damage to the glass caused a laceration on UFC fighter Michael Chiesa's forehead.
